Diamond Jubilee Day 1 - Other Hats and Fascinators

The Queen no doubt stole the show on the first day of her Diamond Jubilee Celebrations but I can't let those other foxy ladies of the upper class go with out a mention. As with tradition you can't turn upto a horse race without wearing a fascinator or hat and the Epsom Derby delivered the goods. I'm on overload with all the stunning fascinators and hats I've seen today. I'll just pick a few otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight.

First of all I would like to thank Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie for being more low profile this time (we all know what they wore to William and Kates Royal Wedding),  as you can see from the lower right picture, The Queen's grandaughters Princess Beatrice and Princesss Eugenie are wearing lovely, "reasonably sized" hat fascinators, Beatrice with a pill box fascinator, nothing special to be honest, again, I'm just pleased that they were sensible.

Katherine Jenkins in Royal Blue aswell! Did she know that's The Queen's colour? Anyway she showed how Royal Blue is worn by the younger generation and her oversized fascinator nest, another masterpiece millinery work.

Princess Michael of Kent, shared the balcony at the Epsom Derby with The Queen with a disc fascinator with reversed flower corsage underneath, a classic that is hear to stay.

The first day of the Queen's Jubilee was a fascinator fest and we at Caprilite loved it, lets see what tomorrow brings.
